Youth Knows & Age Can
July 9th, 2010 | Published in Blog, Speaker Spotlight
There we go. We have revealed our first batch of Speakers right here on our website. Weeks of nerve-wrecking, mind-crashing hard by our Speakers & Talent Management duo on our end, and speculation and wonderment on your end, well, ends now. From this day onwards, we will regularly update our website with information about our Speakers, and we will do so because we want you to take your time in truly reading and understanding who these people are, and just how to deal with the sheer collective brilliance they represent. We want you to know where they are coming from, and we want you to know just why the TEDxLahore Team decided to have them involved with the platform this year. We want you to know why we thought their ideas, as opposed to those of so many others’, were worth spreading.
The first batch includes Mr. Arif Hasan, Dr. Nadeem ul Haq, Mr. Omer Sheikh and Mr. Jibran Rafique, and Dr. Zeeshan-ul-Hassan Usmani. Breaking through the clichéd quip of ‘if youth knew, if age could’, these gentlemen possess a collective experience of about four decades in the fields of urban planning, economics, mapping and technology. They are a perfect example of the vigor of youth and the wisdom of age combining to find new solutions to old problems, and introducing innovation where such breakthroughs weren’t thought possible.
When they share the TEDxLahore stage on July 31st, we’re not just expecting insightful and enlightening Talks from them. We’re expecting collective genius.
