TED is an annual event where some of the world’s leading thinkers and doers are invited to share what they are most passionate about. “TED” stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design — three broad subject areas that are, collectively, shaping our future.

In 2016, 10 speakers and performers have geared up to give the audience a new hope where the theme will be “Umeed-e-Sehr.”

TEDxLahore has arguably become Pakistan’s largest forum to share ideas that can help change for the better. TEDxLahore 2010, operated under license from TED, was filmed live at Ali Auditorium on July 31st. Talks from TEDxLahore, which became Pakistan’s first TEDx event in 2010.

In 2009, TEDxLahore was the first TEDx event in Pakistan where inspirational ideas and uplifting stories such as the perks of building a computer game development industry in Pakistan (Babar Ahmed — Mindstorm Studios) and the journey of two Pathan girls from being ordinary to extraordinary (Zeb and Haniya) were shared. The 90 attendees were treated to an experience they didn’t soon forget.
